Sheltered Housing and Social Support

The shelters of IrisZorg offer a safe haven to people who have become homeless and who are (temporarily) not able to manage their lives in society independently by ensuring a home, professional support and daytime activities.

The range of problems such clients experience, may vary. Moreover, addictions and psychiatric problems often go hand in hand. As a result, most of our clients show a combination of these kinds of problems. We always try to find the best fit between the support we provide and the client's individual problems.

IrisZorg care and treatment services are geared towards reintegration and rehabilitation by providing the necessary preconditions such as offering a temporary home and resolving, or at least controlling primary problems. Useful daytime activities may contribute to further rehabilitation. To further that end IrisZorg offers various activity programs. These programs comprise leisure activities, such as painting, playing music and sports, in addition to professional daytime activities and professional training, e.g. working in 'sheltered' farms, garden centres, workshops and printing establishments.
