Addiction Treatment
People may become addicted to gambling, alcohol, or drugs such as cocaine, heroin, cannabis, XTC, or different types of medicine. Addictions may have severe or less severe manifestations, but usually occur in conjunction with other physical or mental health problems such as, bad relationships, problems at work, financial or housing problems.
IrisZorg offers a range of therapies geared to the nature and seriousness of the issues. Many of these programs are evidence- based or follow 'best practice' methods. The support given can be of a practical, psychological or medical nature, or a combination of all three. This is put in writing in a 'care plan': a plan of action. Sometimes a few structured conversations suffice to help clients ahead.
Some people are better suited to an outpatient treatment, with training or therapy sessions with a professional, individually or in groups. Other clients may need to participate in a more intensive program, for example, in a clinical setting where they learn to control their substance use or gambling behaviour.
